Bérengère Houdou

Director, Membership

Bérengère graduated as an Engineer in Information and Energy Sciences from Supélec Paris. Later at MIT during her Masters, she worked enthusiastically on designing and testing systems for human spaceflight.

She had caught the bug for good and once back in Europe, she joined in 2003 the European Space Agency in the Human Spaceflight Directorate. She is now focusing on future lunar exploration missions.

She likes very much working at the crossing of multiple disciplines and technologies, in an international context. She believes that attracting young women to work in aerospace, as in other technical and scientific areas, is important for the future of Europe.

Current position: Technical Officer of Lunar Lander Mission Studies, System Engineer, Human Spaceflight and Operations Directorate, ESA
