Tanja Masson-Zwaan
Director, Legal Affairs
Tanja holds a masters degree in public international law of the University of Leiden.
She has specialised in space law for 25 years and held various positions in this field in universities and consulting firms in France, Singapore and the Netherlands. She has lectured on space law all over the world, and published extensively. She currently teaches space law in the Advanced Masters programme in air and space law at Leiden University.
Tanja is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award of the IISL and of the Social Sciences Award of the International Academy of Astronautics, IAA. She is an elected member of the IAA, the Académie de l'Air et de l'Espace, the International Law Association (ILA) and various other organisations.
Current positions: Deputy Director of the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University (www.iiasl.aero), and President of the International Institute of Space Law
