Ariane Cornell
Secretary
Ariane is the Executive Director of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC). Previously, she worked in management consulting, first with Accenture, based in San Francisco,and then with Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C. A dual French-American citizen, Ariane studied at Stanford University where she earned her degree in Science, Technology, and Society with a focus in Management Science and Engineering.

Lesley Jane Smith
Treasurer
Lesley Jane is a solicitor and partner of the Bremen law firm, Weber-Steinhaus & Smith. She was born and educated in Scotland. On account of her services in facilitating
business and networks towards to Scotland, she was appointed a Global Scot in 2007. Her professional work has over time taken her to various parts of Europe, including the former Soviet Union; as a result, she has gained firsthand experience in various aspects of commercial law and practice.

Andrea Boese
Director, International Relations
Originally a nutritionist, Andrea led international, multidisciplinary studies on Human Physiology. Andrea contributed to concepts for habitat research, the design and implementation of institutional Quality Management Systems and the performance of Space Missions. With the breadth and depth of functional roles she could develop both her scientific and managerial qualities.

Tanja Masson-Zwaan
Director, Legal Affairs
Tanja holds a masters degree in public international law of the University of Leiden. She has specialised in space law for 25 years and held various positions in this field in universities and consulting firms in France, Singapore and the Netherlands. She has lectured on space law all over the world, and published extensively. She currently teaches space law in the Advanced Masters programme in air and space law at Leiden University.

Tina Büchner da Costa
Director, Regional Development
Tina is currently working on the development of the next generation Ariane 5 rocket, called Ariane 5 Midlife Evolution. She holds an Aerospace Engineering Masters degree from Stuttgart University and has worked in several aerospace companies in Toulouse (Airbus), Germany (Astrium), the Netherlands (ESA-ESTEC) and Kourou, French Guiana. She has been based in Bremen for six years now, working on major space vehicles like the ATV and now Ariane 5 for Astrium Space Transportation.

Bérengère Houdou
Director, Membership
Bérengère graduated as an Engineer in Information and Energy Sciences from Supélec Paris. Later at MIT during her Masters, she worked enthusiastically on designing and testing systems for human spaceflight. Back in Europe, she joined ESA in 2003 in the Human Spaceflight Directorate. She is now focusing on future lunar exploration missions.

Raffaella Pappalardo

Raised in a multicultural environment, Raffaella graduated form the University of London (Queen Mary and Westfield College) in languages and European Studies. She subsequently settled in the Netherlands where she started her professional career in Information Technology.

Director, PR and Marketing
Barbara has a Masters degree in Adult Education and Public Relations from Leiden University and a BA in Museum Studies from the Reinwardt Academy. She works for HE Space.

Maria Cristina Falvella
Director, Mentoring Programme
Maria Cristina has a 20 years experience in space science both as researcher and manager of industrial contracts devoted to space programmes. Since 1991 she has worked for the Italian Space Agency and she coordinated for ASI programmes on stratospheric balloons, small space platforms, habitable modules for the International Space Station (Node 2) and scientific missions.
