The local group of Brussels was founded in 2013. This group is especially relevant for WIA-E as it is located at the heart of the European Union and is a hub of European aerospace policy.

Because the Belgian aerospace community is spread around the country, our goal is to organize events across the many sites of our members, allowing us all to see the full range of activities and meet new contacts from across the country. The current aim of the group is to bring together the Belgium Space Community in support of a more diverse and equal workforce.

The group will initially focus on three areas:

• Creating a network of experts
• Mentoring 
• Synergies with Belgium space communities
