GMV was founded in 1984 by Juan JosƩ Martƭnez Garcƭa, a professor at the Escuela TƩcnica Superior de Ingenieros AeronƔuticos, along with a group of colleagues. The company entered the space sector by securing its first contract with the Operations Centre of the European Space Agency (ESOC).

We are expanding our teams in theĀ SPACE sectorĀ to take onĀ projectsĀ related toĀ Satellite Control Centers.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As part of our team, you will play an active role in theĀ design,Ā development, andĀ evolutionĀ ofĀ software solutionsĀ that are essential to our client’s operational success. In addition, you will work onĀ high-impact,Ā mission-critical systemsĀ within the space sector, contributing to solutions used inĀ real operational environments.

YourĀ responsibilitiesĀ will include the following:

• Participating in architectural discussions and contributing to the evolution of the system.
• Collaborate closely with teammates through technical reviews and design sessions.
• Ensure the high quality and reliability of all delivered solutions.
• Support incident resolution, debugging, and improvement of existing functionalities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and development practices.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for aĀ Software EngineerĀ with solidĀ technical knowledgeĀ and a passion for backend developmentĀ to join the team responsible for theĀ satellite control center of one of Europe’s leading operators.

The followingĀ skillsĀ areĀ requiredĀ for this position:

• Extensive experience inĀ C++17/C++20 andĀ PythonĀ 3.
• Solid knowledge ofĀ software testingĀ (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
• Experience working withĀ LinuxĀ environments.
• Interest and ability to work on backend development inĀ complex distributed systems.
• Fluent written and spokenĀ English.
• Strong teamwork skills and motivation for continuous improvement.

We will alsoĀ valueĀ knowledge of:

• Additional languages used in our systems:Ā Java,Ā JavaScriptĀ (React, Node.js).
• Knowledge ofĀ DockerĀ or containerization technologies.
• Interest or basic experience inĀ frontend development.
• Experience withĀ GitĀ and modern branching/version control workflows.
• Familiarity withĀ CI/CD, automation tools, and pipelines.
• Experience or interest inĀ TDD.
• Understanding of hexagonal architecture, clean code, or other modern software design principles.
