We’re happy to welcome this time Diego Urbina, Systems Engineer for Future Projects at Space Applications Services; he will share with us his experience as a Mars 500 ESA Crew Member!
In between 2010 and 2011, the MARS 500 mission isolated an international crew of 6 volunteers into a mock-up facility simulating a full-length manned spaceflight to MARS (back and forth). The experiment of 520 days studied physiological, social and psychological effects of the long-term close-quarters isolation.
