WIA-E Social Media Volunteer

Social media posts, emails, and our website are the main way we keep in touch with our individual and corporate members. We need someone to support the WIA-Europe communications team in keeping WIA-E members connected across Europe.

What will you be doing?

We need someone to join the WIA-Europe social media team. Your responsibilities might include:

  • Supporting our social media team with primary focus on developing our Instagram presence
  • Interacting with the content of our corporate members and individual members
  • Helping to put together our regular email newsletters and digests
  • Working with Canva to create visually appealing graphics and visuals

The social media team is small and friendly, and we meet once or twice a month over Zoom and keep each other updated over WhatsApp. Training will be provided, and we expect this role to take approximately 2-3 hours per week.

Term: September 2023 through June 2024

WIA-E Media Library Volunteer

Are you passionate about organising and editing media content? Join our team as a Media Library Volunteer and contribute to the cleanup of our photo archive and the editing of videos for our YouTube channel. Your efforts will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organisation’s media assets are well-organised and easily accessible.

What will you be doing?

  • Organising and categorising photos in our media library
  • Performing basic photo editing tasks, such as cropping, resizing, and enhancing images
  • Working with Canva to create visually appealing graphics and visuals
  • Updating and enhancing presentations using Canva or other presentation software
  • Assisting with video editing for our YouTube channel
  • Collaborating with the media team to maintain a streamlined and user-friendly media library

As a Media Library Volunteer, you will be working closely with our communications/social media team. While most of the tasks can be completed remotely, occasional Zoom meetings or check-ins may be required to discuss progress and provide updates. Training will be provided, and we expect this role to take approximately 2-3 hours per week.

Why should you volunteer with WIA-E?

By volunteering with WIA-E, you’ll be actively helping to improve the world of work for women in aerospace across Europe and providing ways of connecting countries and people. You’ll gain skills and experience in social media marketing, and connect with other amazing women and organisations across the continent.
