WIA-Europe successfully held a WIA-Europe Breakfast event at the Space Innovation Congress in London on Friday, 8th April 2016.
Space Innovation Congress is the showcase event for space related technology which took place in London, 7th – 8th April 2016.
Before Day 2 of Space Innovation Congress starts, Women in Aerospace Europe hosted its traditional Networking Breakfast under the theme ’Diversity in Science’ .
The event was opened by WIA-Europe’s Executive Director Elena Feichtinger who introduced the moderator, Paola Belingheri, WIA-E Director of Individual Membership. Paola read a welcome message from Simonetta di Pippo, WIA-Europe President, and moderated interventions by the following prominent speakers :
- Dr. David Kendall, Chair United Nation Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN COPUOS)
- Prof. Chris Welch, Professor at the International Space University, Vice-President of the International Astronautical Federation
More than 40 participants enjoyed inspiring discussions in a relaxing networking atmosphere.
