In partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA), Starion Luxembourg is leading a consortium of key partners to develop and demonstrate a next-generation operational testbed targeting end-to-end quantum-safe communications. We work to provide operational solutions over fibre and satellite networks in existing national and international environments.
In this context, we are currently looking for aĀ Senior Project ManagerĀ to lead theĀ INT-UQKD project and consortium as a main mission.
Tasks and activities
The scope of activities may include;
- Taking full accountability for the INTāUQKD project, ensuring delivery in line with agreed scope, budget, and schedule.
- Leading crossāfunctional teams and managing subcontractors and suppliers across the project lifecycle to ensure effective tasking, performance control, and delivery.
- Being the primary point of contact with ESA, subcontractors, and internal Starion/Nexova stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining core project documentation (plans, budgets, risk registers) and managing project risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Managing project resources and costs, delivering monthly forecasts and reports, and proactively escalating issues, including identifying resourcing needs and skills gaps.
- Ensuring milestone reviews are conducted on schedule and in accordance with defined procedures.
- Managing change control, ensuring delivery within constraints, and supporting client business development.
- Driving revenue growth through service expansion and followāon business opportunities.
- Supporting senior management in monitoring and reporting project financial performance.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- Masterās degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace, Software, Security Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum three years proven project management experience, preferably in an international context.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and risk management practices.
- Experience with highly structured projects, including ESA or European institutional programmes.
- Sufficient technical understanding to contribute effectively to technical discussions and solution delivery.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
The following skills and experience are highly desirable;
- Space domain experience, with ESA projects as a strong plus.
- Experience delivering projects in accordance with international standards (e.g. ECSS, MILāSTD, ETSI).
- Background in satellite communications or cybersecurity architectures.
- NATO/EU security clearance required, or willingness to obtain one.
- EU citizenship would be an asset.
