Munich

The WIA-Europe Munich Regional Network is one of the most vibrant and engaging chapters within the WIA-Europe community. After re-engagement in 2024, the network has actively participated in Aerospace Tech Week Technical Conference and other leading industry events, organising panels discussions and workshops that reflect WIA-Europe’s core values of diversity, inclusion, and leadership. It has also encouraged and facilitated the participation of its members in conferences such as ATW 2025, IAC 2025 and herCAREER, supporting professional visibility, confidence, and representation within the broader aerospace ecosystem.

The Munich Regional Network’s activities have combined educational learning, creativity, and community connection. From industrial visits to aerospace companies such as Airbus in Ottobrunn to Newspace companies such as Vyoma, that offer real-world insight; to mentoring sessions on networking, introductions, and interview preparation, each initiative has been designed to empower and educate members. Alongside career focused events, the network has hosted social events such as painting sessions, botanical garden walks, and art museum lectures, creating space for members to connect in more personal and inspiring ways. 

Munich is a city for space which invites expats from all around the world. Conducting these social events gives our member community a bridge to build connections and engage with extraordinary individuals from different companies. 

A highlight of the network’s calendar is the Space Brunch, a beloved tradition where members gather to share food, laughter, and open discussions about real professional challenges in a relaxed setting.

As the network continues to grow and it remains committed to fostering inclusion, building leadership, and creating spaces where everyone in aerospace feels empowered to contribute and belong.
