Last Saturday, 26 September, 2020, WIA-E was delighted to support and participate in the SG[France]2020-Our Giant Leap, which took place at ISAE SUPAERO, Toulouse.

Under the theme “Women of the aerospace sector”, SG{France] 2020 was a one-day event dedicated to diversity and gender equality in the aerospace sector, organised by WIA-E partner SGAC. It brought together 45 SGAC students and young professionals, mentored by top experts, and included inspiring conferences, debates and round tables.

Guest speakers and discussion participants representing WIA Europe were Liz Seward, WIA-E executive board member and Leader of the WIA-E UK local group, and Carolina Fernández Dominé, Co-leader of the WIA-E Toulouse local group. Presentations were followed by fruitful group discussions on how to tackle unconscious bias, get rid of stereotypes, and create a more inclusive aerospace sector.
