Event report: ‘Surfing between Lagrange points’ by Ariadna Farrés

Last 21st of September, WIA-E Barcelona organized the eighth #Women4Space conference with the aim to give visibility to women in the aerospace sector.

During this conference Ariadna Farrés, who is an expert on the impact of solar radiation pressure on orbits around Lagrange points, gave a different vision of how the Lagrange equations are used during space missions. She explained how the new techniques of “sail propultion” can be as useful as some of the traditional propultion techniques.
