Dr Heidi Thiemann is a project manager leading the Cornwall Space and Aerospace Technology Training (CSATT) project at Truro and Penwith College, where her team is setting up space apprenticeships and training to launch the Cornish space sector. She’s also the director and co-founder of the Space Skills Alliance, working on analysing space sector data, and has a PhD in astrophysics from The Open University where she researched stars on the brink of merging and exploding. Before that, she ran the website SpaceCareers.uk, helping young people to get jobs in the space sector.

Within the WIA-E communications team, Heidi manages the social media, keeps the website up-to-date, and supports the wider WIA-E team.
