We are looking for an excellently qualified personality with an internationally recognized scientific reputation and a research activity in the field of system dynamics and control engineering. Proven expertise in advanced modeling and control methods and one or more application areas worked on by the institute are expected. Knowledge in the fields of optimization and artificial intelligence in control engineering are important additional qualifications. Many years of professional and management experience in university/scientific operations or in an industrial environment are also expected, as well as excellent didactic skills and academic teaching experience. Proven experience in the management of international interdisciplinary scientific projects as well as successful third-party funding are desirable. Prerequisites for employment are a doctorate and additional academic achievements, e.g. B. can be proven by a habilitation. Furthermore, the assumption of equality and diversity-oriented management responsibility is expected.

The job holder is expected to participate in teaching at the faculty for aerospace engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich to the extent of two trimester hours per week.

The future job holder will be appointed as a university professor at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and given leave to take over the management of the DLR Institute at the German Aerospace Center.
