Astronaut Instructor

We are looking for an experienced, self-confident Instructor to work at the European Astronaut Centre near Cologne, Germany. This unique position will see you engage in a variety of tasks from delivering training to International Space Stations (ISS) crews and Ground Support Personnel (GSP), supporting Columbus systems and payloads specific simulations as Simulation Officer, and/or supporting implementation of real-time operations as European Communicator and/or Operations Engineer. You are a good communicator, and you are excited by the prospect of helping prepare humans to undertake missions to ISS, the Moon and beyond. You already have experience of working as Instructor or Operations Engineer preferably in a large organisation or multinational environment.

Director of the DLR Responsive Space Cluster Competence Center

We are looking for a leader with proven management experience who comprehensively represents the field in research and teaching, and is well-connected nationally and internationally. Profound experience and outstanding scientific achievements in applied research in several of the above-mentioned research areas and preferably also in industry are required. Several years of experience in leading larger units and participation in regional, national, and international interdisciplinary collaborations are also required, as well as relevant academic studies with a doctoral degree.

W2 professorship in Thermochemical Process Engineering

We are looking for a scientifically proven individual in the field of thermochemical process engineering with several years of experience in leading larger groups, ideally in industry. Particular emphasis is placed on collaboration with industry, national and international networking, the successful acquisition of third-party funding projects and technology transfer. The suitability for conducting courses and didactic skills round off the requirement profile for research and teaching. In teaching, participation in the degree programs of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is expected.
