Bremen Regional Network was the first WIA-Europe Regional to be founded in 2009.
For over a century, Bremen has been a significant player in the world of science and technology, earning its status as a city of aerospace innovation. From shipbuilding to aircraft design, and from space laboratories to rocket components, Bremen has established itself as a centre for cutting-edge industries. The engineering expertise based in Bremen has been instrumental in enabling major European space projects, including the International Space Station (ISS), the Spacelab and Columbus space laboratories, the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV), the European Ariane launch vehicle, Galileo Constellation and exploration missions to the Moon and Mars.
The Bremen city motto is ‘buten un binnen – wagen un winnen‘- outside and inside, dare and win.
