Leiden is home to the International Institute of Air and Space Law, Dutch Space, as well as home to many employees of ESTEC and ESTEC Consultancy Companies.
An old and beautiful Dutch city, its wealth in both students and seasoned aerospace professionals make it a supreme networking opportunity. The vicinity to Delft also made it possible to create a close link with the Women with Wings association of the TU Delft Aerospace Faculty.
The WIA-Europe Leiden group, founded in 2013, is very active, organising monthly workshop dinners and lunches and participating to Space related events. Training courses for WIA-Europe members will soon be available.
We are currently looking for a number of people to join the organising committee! In the committee you can be as involved as you want. For example, you could help us organise a single event, workshop, lecture, dinner or drinks, or you could become a committee member and help us with the overall plans for WIA-Europe members in the Netherlands. Anything in between would also be possible. In the past we have organised a variety of events, like a mentoring workshop, an online lecture/get-together, several dinners (often with an invited speaker) and company visits.
