After 10 years of uninterrupted growth, the aeronautics sector is facing an unprecedented crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With near 70% of flights cancelled, with “back to normal” not expected before 2023, the current crisis reaches an intensity and scale unequalled during the whole aviation history, even for 2001 and 2008 crisis.
But the aeronautics has also to deal with the same challenges that encounter all industrial sectors as reducing the environmental impact, the main changes on consumption and the acceleration of technical changes.
Between flight shaming, COVID-19, new modes of distribution, new modes of consumption, what is the future of the airline sector and the aircraft industry?
