Gerarda De Pasquale is a Radio Navigation Engineer at ESA/ESTEC, specializing in navigation systems, GNSS receiver technology, system performance, and PNT innovation.
She has extensive experience in the European space sector, at ESA and EUSPA, having led NAVISP and R&D projects, supported EGNSS service development, mentored young professionals, and organized industry events, including NAVITEC 2024.
She aims to build a strong network for women in aerospace, creating opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and professional development.
Gerarda seeks to develop a community where women can connect, thrive, and shape the future of the space industry.
Kyriaki (Kiki) Minoglou is the Head of the Optics, Robotics, and Life Sciences Division at ESA/ESTEC. She manages the division’s activities and coordinates with section heads and teams to promote ESA’s technical and industrial policy. Prior to this, she was the Head of the Optoelectronics leading the development of space payloads for photonics and quantum devices, optical communications, lasers and focal plane arrays.
As a senior manager providing strategic direction, she is committed to fostering a strong network for women in aerospace while inspiring the next generation of women and men to pursue careers in the aerospace sector.
WIA-Europe Leiden Relaunch Event
The Leiden Regional Network successfully hosted their ‘Reconnect, Relaunch and Rise’ event which marked the official relaunch of the Leiden Regional Network.
The event was held on the 23rd of May 2025 and was an evening filled with meaningful conversations and reignited our shared mission to support and elevate women in aerospace across the region.
