Empowering all Women, in Space and on Earth

Osmos X is a French deep-tech company founded in 2022, headquartered near Rennes, dedicated to transforming space transportation and orbital services with breakthrough propulsion technology. Nicknamed the First Galactic Trucking Company, Osmos X develops and manufactures reusable orbital transfer vehicles and advanced space propulsion systems that dramatically improve efficiency, flexibility, and mission capabilities in orbit.

Built on decades of expertise in ion propulsion and electro-plasma physics, Osmos X’s technology enables ultra-low gas consumption, high thrust, and robust performance suited for long-duration missions. By harnessing electro-plasma propulsion, Osmos X aims to support a range of services:

  • Orbit raising: reach high orbits at low fares
  • Orbital position change: move satellite to a new position without affecting its lifetime
  • Proximity Operations: visual inspection of satellite assets
  • Space Situational Awareness: collect and exploit high-quality data over long periods of time
  • Clean Space: perform contactless deorbitations in GEO and LEO
  • Defence: asset protection and lifetime extension of high-value assets
  • Long haul: unlock interplanetary missions with reasonable propellant mass

Osmos X’s vision extends beyond traditional space operations. With plans to launch its first reusable orbital vehicle around 2030, Osmos X is spearheading a new era of cost-effective, environmentally responsible space logistics that reduce launch costs, extend satellite lifespans, and contribute to a cleaner space environment. Operating a coordinated fleet of reusable orbital vehicles, Osmos X will enable scalable, in-orbit services. This fleet-based approach allows for higher mission flexibility, increased reliability, and continuous operations, supporting a wide range of orbital transfers and space infrastructure needs.

Driven by scientific excellence, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability, Osmos X partners with leading research institutions, industrial players, and space agencies to bring its pioneering solutions from concept to orbit — ultimately enabling sustainable, scalable mobility across Earth orbit and beyond.
