Osmos X is a French deep-tech company founded in 2022, headquartered near Rennes, dedicated to transforming space transportation and orbital services with breakthrough propulsion technology. Nicknamed theĀ First Galactic Trucking Company, Osmos X develops and manufactures reusable orbital transfer vehicles and advanced space propulsion systems that dramatically improve efficiency, flexibility, and mission capabilities in orbit.
Built on expertise in ion propulsion and electro-plasma physics, its technology enables ultra-low gas consumption, high thrust, and robust performance for long-duration missions. By harnessing electro-plasma propulsion, Osmos X supports services including orbit raising, orbital position change, proximity operations, space situational awareness, clean space operations in GEO and LEO, defense missions, and long-haul interplanetary missions.
With plans to launch its first reusable orbital vehicle around 2030, Osmos X aims to deliver cost-effective, environmentally responsible space logistics that reduce launch costs, extend satellite lifespans, and contribute to a cleaner space environment.
