A leader in the national aerospace landscape, Argotec is among the main players in the Italian and international Space Economy. Founded in 2008 with the vision of CEO and founder David Avino, the company has grown rapidly, gaining international recognition for its activities and scientific missions.
Its integrated and scalable approach is based on the in-house design and production of high- reliability microsatellites, entirely manufactured within the SpacePark, the companyās headquarters on the outskirts of Turin, conceived according to an industrial model. This approach enables the optimised and accelerated production of small satellites and related components: today, production capacity exceeds 50 satellites per year, positioning Argotec as a highly reliable player in terms of both delivery and product quality.
The industrial model and know-how developed in Europe have also been extended to the United States, where Argotec is present with a facility in Melbourne, Florida, and a dedicated telecommunications team in California.
The company also has a strong heritage in deep space, with pioneering missions developed in collaboration with NASA and international space agencies, including ArgoMoon and LICIACube, the latter awarded by AIAA as āMission of the Yearā in 2023.
In January 2025, Argotec reached a pioneering milestone by becoming the first company to launch a satellite within the IRIDE program, promoted by the Italian Government and coordinated by the European Space Agency (ESA), with the support of the Italian Space Agency (ASI). Opening the path to the future āconstellation of constellations,ā Pathfinder, part of Argotecās HEO (Hawk for Earth Observation) constellation, was launched on January 14. On June 23 at 23:19, SpaceX launched the first batch of seven additional satellites, joining Pathfinder. By 2026, the HEO constellation will be completed with 25 satellites in orbit.
Argotec will soon return to deep space with two pioneering missions: LUMIO, dedicated to studying the far side of the Moon, and HENON, which will send a small satellite 27 million km from Earth to study solar storms and space weather.
At the end of 2024, the company inaugurated the SpacePark, a state-of-the-art production facility on the outskirts of Turin, designed by the vision of Oscar Niemeyer in the early 1980s and brought back to life through a major redevelopment project.
Today, Argotec employs more than 300 people and foresees double-digit growth in the coming years, both in terms of revenue and workforce.
