Empowering all Women, in Space and on Earth

Meet the New WIA-Europe Hungary Regional Network Co-Lead – María Cuéllar

Please join us in warmly welcoming our new co-lead to the Hungary Regional Network – María Cuéllar, who will be joining Réka Szabó.

We look forward to the ideas, energy, and collaboration their leadership will bring. Stay tuned for upcoming events, initiatives, and opportunities to connect with the WIA-Europe Hungary community.

Meet María:

I’m María Cuéllar, an Industrial Engineer currently based in Budapest with nearly five years of expertise in the automotive aftersales sector. Working on Stellantis European projects managed by MSX International and Adecco, I have specialised in quality assurance within European workshop networks. My professional background involves utilising manufacturing databases to apply technical bulletins, repair methodologies, and maintenance processes, alongside managing default codes and warranty frameworks to ensure high standards in process delivery.  At present, however, I am expanding my focus towards the aerospace industry.

For me, engineering and social progress really go hand in hand. I had volunteered with Lazy Women, a feminist global collective/community-produced media, and participated in European human rights and tech forums. Moving in those spaces has reinforced my aim for gender equality, and I’m passionate about how we can use advanced tech to make a tangible difference in the world, whether that’s tracking environmental conservation, supporting the development of regions with limited resources or providing aid to communities that have been displaced. Because beyond technology, there are people.

I am fascinated by what community building and education can achieve, and I feel very enthusiastic about joining WIA-Europe Hungary Regional Network as a Co-Lead. My goal is to create collaborative, welcoming spaces where every woman and girl feel that they can also jump up to the challenges, while supporting each other’s growth. Ultimately, I aim to hopefully inspire the next generation to see how engineering can genuinely change society for the better
