Empowering all Women, in Space and on Earth

Greece

The Greece Regional Network was founded in June 2026.

Greece has a growing and active aerospace ecosystem with a strong presence of aerospace companies, research institutions, start-ups, and academic programmes. Reflecting this rapid acceleration of the local aerospace ecosystem in Greece, we are thrilled to announce the expansion of Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA-Europe) into Greece. The Greece Regional Network will serve as a vital platform to connect, support, and elevate professionals, researchers, and students across the Greek aerospace sector. By fostering strong corporate partnerships, establishing localised frameworks, and enhancing visibility for regional talent, the new Regional Network in Greece will ensure that diversity and inclusion remain at the forefront of the country’s aerospace future.

Key dimensions of the Greek aerospace community relevant to the network include:

  • Industry: presence of both domestic aerospace companies and Greek branches of international organisations.
  • Academia: universities and research institutes with aerospace, aeronautical, and space science programmes.
  • Institutional: Engagement with ESA, EUSPA, EU institutions, Greek Government and Greek institutions
  • Start-up ecosystem: an emerging community of space technology start-ups and entrepreneursĀ
