We are pleased to announce the WIA-Europe Awards & Grants recipients for 2025.
On behalf of Women in Aerospace Europe, we would like to congratulate Kavya Murali Parthasarath who is the winner of the WIA-Europe Student Conference Grant and Dr. Anna Chrobry who is the winner of the WIA-Europe Inspirational Project Award.

WIA – Europe Student Conference Grant
The WIA-Europe Student Conference Grant is designed to provide financial assistance to Bachelor, Master, and PhD students in Europe, enabling them to attend an international workshop or conference for the first time and present their paper on aerospace topics.
2025 Recipient: Kavya Murali Parthasarathy
Kavya’s work on neuroeconomics to enhance astronaut well-being, along with the acceptance of her paper for GLEX 2025 in New Delhi, distinguished her for both scientific depth and originality, while strongly reflecting WIA-Europe’s core values. Equally as inspiring, is her leadership of KinKinetics and her commendable commitment to advancing mental health support in extreme environments.
Kavya Murali Parthasarathy is a neuroeconomist and space health researcher dedicated to enhancing psychological resilience in extreme environments. She is the founder of KinKinetics, a startup developing AI-driven decision support and emotional regulation tools for astronauts, researchers, and isolated populations.
Her interdisciplinary research integrates behavioural science, physiology, and machine learning to support long-duration space missions.
Kavya’s work has been presented at international platforms including NASA’s Human Research Program 2025, ELGRA 2024, IAF 2025, and GLEX 2025. She is currently preparing to begin her PhD at the University of London and also pursuing the Space Entrepreneurship Program at the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability (EIIS).

WIA – Europe Inspirational Project Award
The WIA-Europe Inspirational Award aims to engage WIA-Europe members and encourage them to promote aerospace and inspire future generations. The applicant should submit a short report describing their contribution to promote space and inspire future generation.
2025 Recipient: Dr. Anna Chrobry
Anna submitted a proposal to develop the Women in Aerospace Timeline Game, an educational card game that highlights key milestones achieved by women in aerospace. Designed for free download and use in schools, events, and public engagement activities, the game aims to inspire and educate diverse audiences. The project will enhance WIA-Europe’s outreach efforts and brand visibility, while providing the organisation with its first official educational product. The awarded grant will fund the professional graphic design and the initial production run, with plans to distribute the game at major events such as IAC and Space Tech Expo, as well as throughout the WIA-Europe network.
